The waterfalls of Montezuma are 30 minutes away from Santa Teresa.

A 40-minute river hike leads to a waterfall with a delicious swimming hole. Further along, a second set of falls offers a good 12m leap into deep water. Reach the 'diving platform' from the trail: do not try to scale the slippery rocks! Daring souls can test their Tarzan skills on the rope that swings over a third set.

Montezuma, a small but festive tropical paradise.

The small town of Montezuma offers an idyllic setting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. It was originally a small fishing village that in the 1980s began to attract tourists with little money. There was a population of young people who would pitch their tents on the beach for a few days, weeks or months.
